Insurance and liability policy — Akrid Delivery
Last updated: July 9, 2026
1. Declared value limits
Motorcycle and car deliveries: maximum declared value of R$500 per package. Utility and van: up to R$1,000, depending on the option. Values above the limit are not covered by the platform's standard policy.
2. Operational coverage
Akrid acts as a technology intermediary. Liability for damage, loss, or delay is reviewed case by case using evidence such as pickup/delivery photos, PIN, GPS tracking, and recorded communications.
3. High-value items
Documents, electronics, and medication must be declared correctly. Proper packaging is recommended, and support should be contacted before requesting items above R$500.
4. Supplemental insurance
Partnerships with insurers for cargo coverage are under review. Until then, the MVP limits declared value and requires photographic proof at delivery.
5. Filing a claim
The sender or recipient must file a claim within 48 hours of the expected delivery through in-app or website support, including the delivery ID and a description of the damage or loss.
